Hello!
We are Sharon and Vince Mears. Arallt was our home, the place we began our life together and had our first child.
After buying the farm across the road, we couldn't bear to part with it! So, in 2016, we decided to share it with the world and Arallt Holiday Cottage was born.
We've learned a lot since then! Now our passion is to provide a perfect space for our guests to get away from the hurly burly of their everyday lives, and to enjoy some well earned peace and tranquilty here on The Llŷn Peninsula.
We know you'll feel at home straight away in our cosy traditional welsh quarry cottage. Our guests tell us so!
Vince is an outdoors sort of person.... he loves to grow things and to sing opera! So our organic farm just across the road from Arallt is where he works best. You'll probably hear him if the sun is shining! He also loves to hike and knows lots of walks and is happy to share his knowledge with visitors.
Me? I am a people person so love to meet all our guests and to get to know them. I like to cook, to craft, and am currently learning to paint watercolours. I'm also a bit of a gadget freak!
Along with our son, Huw, we are members of The Menai Bridge Gilbert and Sullivan Society and enjoy singing and performing when we can. You might hear Vince serenading you from our polytunnels across the road!

As you step inside, you'll be struck by the cottage's original features and charm, which have been carefully preserved. From the exposed stone walls to the original fireplace, you'll feel as though you've stepped back in time. However, modern amenities have been added to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and a cozy wood-burning stove.
The cottage is located just above the village of Llithfaen, offering fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. It's also within easy reach of the Wales Coast Path, where you can take in the stunning coastal scenery on foot.
Nearby, you'll find a range of attractions, including beautiful beaches, historic castles, and charming towns such as Abersoch, Pwllheli, and Porthdinllaen, as well as some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK!
For those seeking a bit of adventure, the cottage is situated on the edge of Yr Eryri/Snowdonia, offering plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling, and other outdoor pursuits. And after a long day exploring, you can return to the comfort of Arallt and relax in front of the fire or take in the stunning view from the cottage's pretty little roadside garden.
Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x twin, 1 x bunks. Ground floor bathroom with bath, power shower over bath, basin and WC. Kitchen. Dining room. Sitting room with woodburning stove.
